In our last post, we took a look at the subject of leadership, what it means and its benefits. In today’s post, we will continue our review of the subject of leadership and consider some of the essential qualities of leadership.
Dr. John C. Maxwell is an American Author, Speaker and Pastor who has written at least 17 books on the subject of leadership. As you may also know, he is credited with authoring the quote our post topic is based on. He said “Everything rises and falls on leadership but knowing how to lead is only half the battle”. We love this quote because it stresses the importance of leadership and the simple fact that nothing works without good leadership.
Time is precious. As we grow older and take on more responsibilities, most people come to the conclusion that they must find ways to manage time effectively. This realization most often comes as a result of not having enough time to do the things that need to be done. So in a bid to become more productive, they begin to explore effective time management techniques.
The ability to build great relationships in the workplace is an essential skill today. As a matter of fact, having a great relationship with coworkers and upper management may be the single factor that gets one a promotion instead of another equally qualified colleague.
