The courage to lead is needed by all world leaders today. John C. Maxwell, the great author is credited with saying that everything rises and falls on leadership. This is very true. Great leadership produces progress and poor leadership produces hardship.

A Brief History of the United Nations

Since the creation of the United Nations in 1945, world leaders have come together every year for the United Nations General Assembly. It was at the end of World War II that world leaders first came together. They agreed that to prevent future world wars, a world body must be formed to protect world peace. This world body would be a platform for world unity and would serve as an impartial judge for Member States in international affairs. This was what produced the United Nations Organization, commonly referred to as the United Nations. This year’s General Debate at the United Nations begins today.
